Why Make This Mango Iced Tea?

- It’s healthy: This recipe uses just tea bags, honey as the sweetener and pureed mango! Can’t get much better than that!
- Refreshing: Seriously on a warm or hot day this is such a cool and refreshing drink to have. Plus, it actually feels feeling.
- Quick: The hardest part which isn’t hard is pureeing the mangoes! Once you have that been done it takes no time to make.
Tips For a Flavourful Tea
- Fresh ripe mangoes have the best flavour by far! You can definitely use frozen but for maximum taste and flavour you can’t beat fresh and even slightly over ripe.
- Let it sit overnight. The flavours just intensify and taste so much better if you let it sit overnight!
What You Need

Ingredients
- 3 bags green tea: You can also use white tea or black tea if you like. I like green tea for all it’s antioxidant properties.
- 2 bags camomile tea: This gives it a really lovely mild flavour and also has the added calming benefits to it!
- 1 bag peppermint: You can of course use fresh leaves as well if you have. I love the fresh, bright taste peppermint gives the tea. Peppermint feels very cooling and helps quench the thirst I find.
- 1/2 cup honey: I use raw honey, try to use good quality local honey there is a taste difference!
- 2 cups pureed mango: I used fresh mangoes for this recipe as I was overloaded. You can also use frozen if that’s all you have as well!
Supplies
- Blender: To puree the mangoes.
- Large glass bowl or Pyrex measuring cup: I use a large Pyrex measuring cup to pour my boiling water into with the tea bags.
- A jar with a lid: To store your mango iced tea in!
How to Puree Mango
Making mango puree is really very simple.
- You want soft ripe mangoes if you are using fresh mangoes. I slice the cheeks on either side of the cheeks and scoop out the flesh.
- Place the flesh into a blender and once you have filled it to the amount you’d like. Place the lid and blend.
- No need to add extra water it will blend perfectly if the mangoes are ripe and juicy!
If you are using frozen mangoes you will need to add some water.
- Add about 2 cups frozen mango to your blender. Than add about half a cup of water.
- If you need to get it blending, you can add another half cup of water.
