Homemade Coleslaw Tips

Creamy coleslaw in a glass bowl.
  1. Shred the cabbage: I personally like my cabbage to be on the thinner side. It’s still crunchy but is easier to mix.
  2. Don’t overdo the dressing: It can be easy to think you need a lot of mayo but honestly you’ll end up drowning the coleslaw and just have a liquidy mess.
  3. Let it rest: Make it and let it sit in the fridge for an hour or few hours. It will really enhance the flavour if you have the time!
  4. Variations: It’s so easy to add different things to make this slaw unique. You can add diced apples, cranberries, different types of nuts, add chopped red onions or chopped red bell peppers (capsicum). It’s fun to play around with and change up!
