Easy Chamomile Berry Iced Tea Recipe

This chamomile berry iced tea is such a lovely cooling and refreshing drink. It’s very simple to make, bursting with berry flavour but also has the lovely taste of chamomile making it a calming soothing drink.

An easy homemade berry iced tea using mixed berries and a combination of chamomile and green tea. You will love this refreshing drink!

What You Need to Make This Recipe

Supplies

Blender: Blender optional but helps to extract more flavour.

Pot: For cooking the berries and making a syrup.

Jar with lid: To pour your tea into when storing in the fridge.

Ingredients

Mixed Berries: You will need an assortment of mixed berries or frozen mixed berries.

Sugar: You will want some sugar for this recipe I like to use a mixture of rapadura and raw sugar. Rapadura is similar to brown sugar but healthier and adds a lovely flavour.

Tea Bags: Chamomile and Green tea bags.

Water: Use filtered water I would suggest staying away from unfiltered tap water.

Vanilla: (Optional) but I do love the flavour it gives.

Lemon: Lemon adds a lovely flavour and balances this drink nicely.

How To Make Berry Iced Tea (Step by Step)

  1. Place your tea bags in a large bowl or large Pyrex glass.
  2. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the bags and allow too steep while making the berry mixture.
  3. In a blender add all the ingredients and give it a quick blend. If you aren’t using a blender skip to next step.

4. Pour all the ingredients into a pot and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes.

5. You want some of the liquid to evaporate so it becomes more concentrated and brings out the berry flavour more.

6. After about 10 minutes strain the pulp from the liquid.

7. Remove tea bags from your tea and pour into your chosen jar with lid.

8. Add the berry syrup into your jar. Allow it to cool before placing it in the fridge.

Pour berry syrup into chamomile green tea liquid.

9. Once it’s cold enjoy!

10. Will last about 5 days in the fridge.

How to Make Berry Iced Tea Taste Even Better?

  1. Cook the berries: By cooking the berries you concentrate the flavour enhancing the sweetness and berry taste. It really does make a difference in taste!
  2. Add lemon or lime juice: While this drink still tastes good without lemon or lime the addition of citrus balances out this drink more.
