Create A Beautiful Spring Home

Spring is in the air! Time to create a beautiful spring home that embraces all that spring has to offer!

When I think of spring I think of fresh flowers and herbs, bright colours, new life, warmth and a fresh start. That’s what we are going to do in our homes.

Below I will go through some different ways you can embrace this lovely season in your own home. It doesn’t have to be heard or expensive to do. Just a few little things and your home will feel like spring in no time!

1. Spring Cleanse

There’s nothing like a good cleanse to brighten up and refresh your home. After winters cold has passed and everyone can get outdoors more this a great time to really get some deep cleaning in.

If you want an in depth spring cleanse guide check out the post! Things like washing windows, getting rid of cobwebs, and wiping down walls can all do wonders for brightening up the home.

2. Bright Colours

Add some bright colours to your home wether it be with curtains, plants, couch pillows or paintings.

There’s something about bright bold colours that screams spring is here. I love greens, yellow and reds.

Have fun with it and place some bright colours in different spaces to catch the eyes.

3. Let The Sunshine In

An easy way to brighten up a home is to open the blinds. Make sure to let your curtain and blinds be open wide to let it in all that natural light.

Sunshine has such a pleasant warmth compared to artificial lights. It adds a natural glow to any room.

If you don’t have a lot of windows or natural light try to have lighter furniture, walls and flooring as these all help to lighten up a space and reflect any natural light around.

4. Wall Art

To really create a beautiful spring home add some lovely bright wall art. Try to find paintings or pictures that are bright and showcase spring.

You can normally find affordable paintings at op shops or even facebook market place.

Think of fruits, vegetables, flowers, creeks, sunny landscapes, picnic scenery. All of these will not only draw the eye but really bring that spring vibe into your home!

5. Declutter

I will always be an advocate for decluttering. Less is more in so many ways.

Time to get rid of things you don’t use or need anymore, things the family has outgrown and things that no longer work.

Decluttering clears up space in your home making more open spaces and a cleaner feel.

6. Flowers

Beautiful colourful flowers growing in a garden.

I love flowers in the home. There bright colours and natural beauty remind me of spring and regrowth.

You don’t have to do anything fancy or spend a lot of money. Find local flowers and mix them with some green plants.

Rosemary and Basil make for lovely greenery in a cut flower boquet.

You can buy local flowers at a market, grow some to cut yourself, or purchase dried flowers which look beautiful as well.

7. New Decor

Spruce things up after a good declutter and clean with a few new practical pieces.

Doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but maybe get an egg basket to showcase your collection of eggs on the kitchen counter, a fruit basket to place your fresh fruit in, a new bright table runner for the table.

Even just rearranging furniture and pieces around a home can make it feel fresh and new.

It’s the little things that make the biggest difference!

8. Indoor Plants

I love indoor plants and yes some do die it happens! But indoor plants really do bring a space to life.

They don’t cost much and generally don’t require a whole of care. Just make sure to buy low maintenance indoor ones and don’t over love them!

You can have them hanging in pots in cute macrame pot hangers, placed in a pot in corners to brighten a space or sitting on different bench spaces.

Conclusion

Creating a beautiful spring home doesn’t have to cost a lot or be difficult. Little things like cleaning, decluttering, moving things around and adding in bright colours can make all the difference.
