Why Make Your Own Potpourri

- Store bought potpourri is filled with synthetic scents while your homemade one uses the natural scents of fruit, plants, herbs, spices and or essential oils.
- Making your own potpourri is simple, cheap and so much fun to make!
- You can customise the potpourri to suit your specific taste adding in different scents and elements that you have available to you.
Tips To Making Potpourri

- Make sure to add different textures, colours and sized items. This makes the potpourri more appealing and beautiful to look at.
- When the scents start to fade you can easily add some essential oils or even toss your potpourri in some spices like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger to bring back that lovely smell.
- Place them in glass jars so you can see the beautiful array of colours. Or in a beautiful dish for them to be displayed on.
- By placing the potpourri into jars, you can place the lid on when you’re not around to keep the scent strong. Pop the lids off when you have guest or you are going to be in that room.
