A delicious easy homemade raspberry apple pie recipe you will love! Simple, delicious and full of flavour! Great all year round.

While apple pie is always good sometimes it’s fun to change things up. While you could use any berry you like I personally like how the sweetness of the apple’s balances with the tartness of the raspberries.

Plus, it comes out a beautiful colour! Every good pie also needs a good pie crust! I’ve got a delicious simple sourdough pie crust recipe here if you need one!

Now, here are some more reasons why you will love this recipe!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  1. It’s easy to make: This is a simple recipe. Like all my recipes I like to keep things pretty easy and straight forward.
  2. Healthier than storebought: While all pies need some sugar, you can control which sugar you use and ultimately the amount. There’s also no additives, artificial sweeteners or colours. Just pure ingredients!
  3. Bulk make: You can make more and freeze for another day! I’ll tell you how to do this in the how to store section in this post.
  4. Delicious: Can’t forget that this is absolutely delicious and is different from your normal apple pie. Apple pie with a twist!

Tips For Making Raspberry Apple Pie

  1. Let your filling cool before placing it in the pie crust. It can be very hard to do the top of the pie crust if your filling is hot!
  2. If you want chunks of raspberries in your pie don’t cook them like I did. Precook the apples and simply mix the frozen raspberries in before pouring the mixture into your pie crust.

What You’ll Need to Make This Recipe

Ingredients

3 cups of sliced apples

3 cups of fresh or frozen raspberries. Frozen will hold shape better and cheaper to purchase normally.

3/4 cup sugar: You could use honey if you like as well but I used raw sugar.

1/4 cup butter for cooking the apples and gives the whole mixture a lovely taste.

1/2 cup tapioca flour: This will thicken your pie mixture nicely!

1/2 lemon squeezed

2 tbsp vanilla essence

pinch of salt: I use sea salt, but you can also use Himalayan salt.

How To Make Raspberry Apple Pie Step by Step

  1. In a medium pan or pot get your butter melted and place the sliced apples into it.
